2021 MSHSAA District Tournament Results
You can help support the promotion of academic competition in Missouri.
All Missouri academic coaches, as well as those interested in promoting excellence in academic competition, are eligible for membership in MACA.
MACA uses its dues to purchase medals for all-district and all-state teams, to host a state-wide Junior Varsity tournament, and to support Missouri national competition teams. We also provide aid and information to coaches through newsletters and e-mail correspondence. In addition, MACA hosts an informative annual convention each fall.

The 2019 MSHSAA District tournaments took place on April 6, with 16 tournaments in each of the four classes. The 64 district winners advance to the sectional round on Tuesday, April 17. Sectional tournaments consist of a best two-out-of-three game format in which each odd district winner will host the corresponding even district winner. Each sectional winner will then advance to the state championship on Friday, May 4 (Classes 1 and 2) or Saturday, May 5 (Classes 3 and 4).

On March 9th, 18 teams competed for the 2019 MACA JV State title hosted at Helias High School. After the preliminary rounds in the morning, Washington A, Hallsville A, Kirksville, Hickman A, Calvary Lutheran and Hallville B all qualified for the playoffs and the chance to be crowned this year's JV State champion. After a few close round of playoffs, Washington A defeated Hallsville A 415-235 to win the championship. Washington A was the overall winner and also took 1st place in the Large School division. On Saturday, March 9th at Helias High School, MACA will host its annual JV State Tournament. This tournament is open to ALL freshmen and sophomores who are participating on a High School Quiz Bowl team. All teams will play in the same divisions regardless of size, however, the top two placing large schools and top two placing small schools (under 500 students in grades 10-12, public school, nonselective) will receive plaques.

The annual Missouri Academic Coaches Association convention will take place Monday, October 2, 2017, at the headquarters of the Missouri High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) at 1 North Keene Street in Columbia.
