Marshall Freshman/Novice Tournament
This tournament is usually only for freshman players, but this year we're allowing junior high teams to enter and first-year sophomore (may not have played at all during freshman year) players may fill out a freshman team that is short of four players. No team shall be a majority of sophomores.
Although the format of the game is altered, MSHSAA rules will be followed, excepting the need to have four players. A team may be comprised of fewer than four.
Tuscumbia Winter Tournament
Tuscumbia High School will hosting an academic tournament on Saturday, January 17, 2015 with both JV and middle school divisions. Tentatively, the JV division will be capped at eighteen teams, and the middle school division will be capped at twelve. All students in grades 7 and 8 are eligible to compete in the middle school division; all students in grades 9 and 10 are eligible for the JV division, regardless of previous experience. The limit on team size in both divisions is eight, although teams of six or fewer students are encouraged. Other than the field limit, there is a not a limit on the number of teams that an individual school can bring.
Oakville is using the same question set for their tournament on November 1. If you are planning on attending the Oakville tournament, you may not attend this tournament.

Fort Osage High School is pleased to announce the 2nd annual Three Trails Tournament to be held at Fort Osage High School on November 15, 2014. This tournament will be run in the twenty tossup/bonus format. Matches will consist of 20 tossups with 3 part rebounding bonuses worth up to thirty points. We will be using the highly regarded BELLOCO set (a link to the question information is here: http://hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=109&t=14763). The set is not powermarked, and we will not have “negs” either.
Tuscumbia Winter High School Tournament
The initial field cap for this tournament is twelve teams. Each team will be guaranteed eight games regardless of performance; that number may rise depending on the number of attending teams. Games will consist of 20 tossups and up to 20 three part 30-point, rebounding bonuses. 15 point powers and 5 point negs will be used on tossups. Math calculation tossups will not be read. This tournament will be a qualifier for NAQT's High School National Championship Tournament; the top 15% of the field will qualify.
Centralia Autumn Academic Tournament
Games will consist of 20 tossups with three-part, non-rebounding bonuses. The exact schedule for the tournament will depend on the final field size, but teams should expect to be divided into preliminary pools that will each play a round robin, followed by a rebracketing into championship and consolation pools. If the field fills, all teams should expect to play 10 games, ending around 4:00, with any necessary finals and tiebreakers following.
