If enough teams, we will have a large school and a small school division. Every team needs to bring at least one worker for the tournament. That person may be an assistant coach, another teacher, parent, or varsity player.
Tournaments for less-experienced players, or tournaments that will have a junior varsity division.
Events are now maintained on a Google Calendar, so new events will rarely appear on this page.

We would like this to be a smaller school tournament, so please only 3A and below. I have 6 confirmed entries right now, with 2 more possible. First come first serve.

For our Junior Varsity Tournament, we will be using the following eligibility rules:
• All freshmen can play.
• All sophomores who have not played in a national championship can play.
• All juniors who never played a tournament their freshman or sophomore years can play.
• No seniors can play.
We will have these basic eligibility rules:
* All freshmen can play.
* All sophomores who did not attend a quizbowl national championship in the past can play.
* All juniors who never played a tournament before their junior year can play.
* No seniors can play.
Email registration information to: Susan Sheeley ssheeley@salem.k12.mo.us The tournament is open to junior varsity players only. No seniors and no underclassmen who have played mostly as a varsity player or who played varsity in previous district or state competitions.
Format: Missouri state format with only three quarters to speed
up the games. A Swiss pairing format will be used for
the four games played. The questions are written by myself
and have lots of current events and trivial knowledge. Math
questions will not go above algebra II level.
Participants: Freshmen and sophomores. Teams made up of any
combination.
Cost: $25.00 per team.
Awards: Team plaques for top four teams.
Top eight individuals receive medals.
