The annual meeting of the Missouri Academic Coaches Association takes place Monday, October 7, 2013, at the headquarters of the Missouri High School Activities Association at 1 North Keene Street in Columbia. Morning activities will include two rounds of breakout sessions to presentations of interest for coaches; typical topics include "What You Need to Know about History," "How to Run a Successful Tournament," and "Tips for New Coaches." Stacy Schroeder, MSHSAA Associate Executive Director, will address rules changes and other items of concern to coaches.
The afternoon will feature a third round of breakout groups, followed by a general business meeting, which will include announcements of Coach of the Year awards in all four classes and presentation of the Carol Farmer Founders Award to the individual who has made outstanding contributions to the coaches association and to the growth and improvement of academic competition in Missouri. The afternoon will also include election of new officers.
