Word spreads that the current president will not run for re-election at the MACA convention in September at the Inn at Grand Glaize. In addition, the vice-president, "The" Bob Brown, announced in the spring his intention to retire from coaching after a remarkable career at Richland. The MACA treasurer position has remained unfilled for almost a year, with Bob and president Al Nicolai swapping acting treasurer responsibilities. The election of new officers, then, will reign as a priority for the business meeting. One veteran coach says, "We need to get some of these newer younger coaches involved since many of us have already done it." Opportunity knocks! Glory awaits!
